instead, he wandered across the street, glancing over the options on one of the food cart menus. whatever, close enough to where he started. ]

[ as reluctant as he is to have to deal directly with zoro on his own, he knows he has a responsibility here. with nami and luffy still not found, it's important for him to keep his pre-located crewmates as close together as he can, all the better for them to be prepared when the time comes for them to leave this place and get back to their journey towards the grand line.

still, that doesn't make this task any less annoying.

and so he hops into his car and begins to drive, doing much better now with the steering and the stick than he had when he'd first picked it up. he's even fairly decent at navigating his way around, in a way that he's sure nami would be impressed (of which, he'd be very excited to tell her all about the moment they could find her, which he consistently hopes is sooner than later), so it doesn't even take nearly that long to get towards zoro's side of the city.
